A new poll shows Labor MP Kate Jones has clawed back ground from Liberal National Party (LNP) leader Campbell Newman in the crucial Brisbane seat of Ashgrove.
Mr Newman has to win the seat in Brisbane’s inner-west if he is to become the next Queensland premier.
Newman promises study of range-crossing Ninemsn Mr Newman's popularity was no surprise to federal Liberal MP Malcolm Turnbull, who joined him on the hustings at The Gap in Brisbane. "He's a great man and he's going to be a great new premier for Queensland," he told reporters. |
